ABOUT DANIEL ROGERS

Daniel has spent the past â€‹two ​years working with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring illnesses. He began his work in the field as a house manager for a sober living facility and as a sober coach in New York, having received his certification as a recovery coach. Daniel is currently working to obtain his mental health counseling license through a Masters Program at New York University.

 

As a former client at Legacy, Daniel developed a strong passion for helping individuals who share  similar experience​s​Over the past year, Daniel has worked to educate families, â€‹potential clients​​, c​clinicians and other professionals â€‹about​ the benefits associated with adventure based therapy.

 

Daniel currently resides in New York and is passionate about raising awareness through an emphasis on current research in the field. He believes in the importance of family, healthy relationships, and self-care activities to achieve fulfillment and wellness in ones life. Daniel is soon to commence an internship at Weill-Cornell Medical Center, specializing in addressing substance use disorders and trauma across a diverse population.
