Thanks to Daniel Rogers and Lily Wilkinson, TAPA sponsored its first official event this August - a hike to the Flatirons in Boulder, Colorado, followed by a delicious lunch at a Boulder restaurant substituted for our planned barbecue which didn't happen because of all the fires nearby leading to fire bans in the parks).
It was great to get together with program alumni, some of whom are program staff in local programs and the hiking around Boulder is beautiful. Lily even led a guided meditation on the mountain.
It was great to hear peoples' stories and talk about why connecting with alumni is meaningful - from developing community to having fun to learning about what kinds of alternative therapeutic programs exist.
